These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the goLex platform — including the website golex.shopand any associated mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform") — operated by goLex("we", "our", or "us"), a company incorporated in India.
By accessing the Platform or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of Services
goLex is a technology platform that connects individuals and businesses with Bar Council-verified advocates, chartered accountants, and licensed professionals ("Experts") to facilitate the completion of legal and regulatory services in India. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Vehicle services: RC Transfer, Learner License, Driving License, Challan Check & Pay, Vehicle Insurance quotation.
- Tax and GST services: ITR Filing, GST Filing, GST Registration.
- Property and legal services: Rent Agreement drafting (notarised and registered), legal notices, property verification, lawyer consultations.
- Civil and family services: Marriage Registration, Birth Certificate assistance, Counselling.
- Corporate and document services: NDA generation, Startup Contracts, Affidavit generation, Apostille facilitation.
goLex is a technology facilitator, not a law firm. The legal services are provided by independent Experts who are solely responsible for their professional output. goLex does not provide legal advice directly. Any document generated by our automated tools (NDA, affidavits, contracts) is for general use and may not address the specific circumstances of your matter — consult a lawyer for advice on your specific situation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Indian law to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To place an order, you must create an account with a valid mobile number and email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at help@golex.shop if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used in violation of these Terms.
4. Orders and Service Delivery
When you place an order on the Platform:
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information as required by the service form.
- Your order is confirmed upon successful payment. You will receive a confirmation email and WhatsApp notification.
- An Expert will be assigned to your order within 30 minutes during business hours (Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–7 PM IST).
- Service timelines stated on the Platform are estimates. Actual timelines may vary due to government processing delays, document insufficiency, or force majeure events. We are not liable for delays caused by government offices, courts, or third-party portals.
- Completed documents are delivered digitally. Physical delivery (where included in the service) is via courier to your registered address.
5. User Obligations
You agree that you will:
- Provide only true, accurate, and lawful information and documents when placing an order.
- Not use the Platform to facilitate any illegal, fraudulent, or criminal activity.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Platform.
- Not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or authority.
- Not submit falsified documents, which constitutes an offence under the Indian Penal Code and other applicable laws.
We reserve the right to cancel an order and report the matter to authorities if we have reasonable grounds to believe that a fraudulent or illegal activity is being facilitated.
6. Pricing and Payments
- All prices displayed on the Platform are the goLex platform fee and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
- Government fees, stamp duties, court fees, and similar charges are charged at actuals and disclosed before payment confirmation. These are not included in the platform fee.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. You must comply with Razorpay's terms of service.
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already confirmed and paid for.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
7.1 Cancellation by You
- You may cancel an order before an Expert has been assigned (typically within 30 minutes of payment). A full refund of the platform fee will be issued.
- After Expert assignment, cancellation is at our discretion. Where work has not commenced, we will refund 75% of the platform fee. Where work has commenced, the platform fee is non-refundable.
- Government fees already paid on your behalf are non-refundable.
7.2 goLex 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the quality of service delivered, you may request a full refund of the platform fee within 7 days of document delivery. We will review your request and, if valid, process the refund within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. Government fees and third-party charges are excluded.
7.3 Service Failure
If goLex is unable to deliver the service for reasons within our control (e.g., no Expert available, platform error), we will issue a full refund including government fees paid, within 3 business days.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, software, and user interface design — is the property of goLex or its licensors and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.
Documents generated using our automated tools (NDAs, affidavits, contracts) for your personal or business use are yours. You may not resell or redistribute these documents as templates.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Parivahan, Income Tax Portal, GSTIN portal). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Access to third-party portals on your behalf is done solely to fulfil the service you have ordered.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- goLex's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
- goLex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or reputational harm.
- We are not liable for outcomes of government decisions, judicial proceedings, or regulatory rulings on matters handled by Experts on your behalf.
- We are not liable for delays caused by government offices, courts, sub-registrar offices, RTOs, or any other statutory body.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless goLex, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms; (b) your submission of false or fraudulent information or documents; or (c) any third-party claim arising from the documents or services you ordered.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at help@golex.shop. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and a notice on the Platform at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, discontinue use of the Platform.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a legal or reputational risk to goLex or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting help@golex.shop. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose prior to the termination date.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and goLex regarding the Platform.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights to a successor entity.
